biography
Brandon
Fraley is striving to accomplish something
that rarely happens in this business. He's
trying to put together an album built on
songs, not production. In an industry where
only two to three great songs are typically
found on a $17 record, Brandon feels that
audiences deserve more for their money.
Brandon
has been writing for his debut record for
a few years and has compiled about 20 songs
that he feels can each stand on its own
on a record. After all the songs are finished,
he will then narrow the strong 20 down
to an elite 11 or 12. He's not sure if
this formula will work, but he's making
his first record as strong as he knows
how.
So
far, Brandon alone has produced all 18
tracks that have been completed to date.
He has been working with Grammy award winner
Tommy Sims. After hearing the first 12
sides, Tommy commented, "[Brandon]
has six or seven radio singles here, easy." This
was a huge compliment for Brandon due to
the fact that he grew up listening to Tommy's
work as well as artists like Brian McKnight & Babyface.
For the past 2 years, Brandon has also
been a full time writer/producer for Sony
Music Publishing's L.A. office. Essential
records, "True Vibe" recorded
one of Brandon's songs on their second
record, which ended up getting a grammy
nod.
The
great thing about Brandon's music is that
it truly is music for all ages. The production
is current enough that the younger audiences
have responded to such tracks as "If
This Is Love" & "See You
Around." The college age and mid 20's
crowd have commented on the radio friendly
sounds of "When I'm Gone" and "Miles
From Here." The adult contemporary
crowd has grabbed hold of the record due
to Brandon's lyric maturity on tracks like "The
Wonder of Your Love" & Painting
with Picasso.".
Just
imagine, a parent and their teenager agreeing
to listen to the same record in the car.
